Introduction: Dysmorphic concern is a preoccupation with an imagined or slight defect in physical appearance. In Iran, there is not brief and valid questionnaire for assessment of Body dysmorphic disorder, screening and research. Materials and Methods:: In order to investigate the psychometric properties and factor structure of this scale, 210 university students (103 males and 107 females) were selected according to purposive sampling. The participants were also asked to complete theDysmorphic Concern questionnaire, scales of external shame, self-compassion, negative affect and perfectionism. Liserl-8 and SSPS-18 were used for analyzing data. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), Correlation Coefficient and Cronbach's Alpha were calculated. Results: The one-factor structure of Dysmorphic Concern Questionnaire was supported by the results of Confirmatory Factor Analysis in Iranian sample (RMSEA=0.07،NFI=0.94،CFI=0.97). Dysmorphic Concern had the positive and significant correlation with External Shame Scale (0.38), perfectionism (0.22) and negative affect (0.22); and had negative and significant correlation with self-compassion (0.16). Cronbach's Alpha coefficient were obtained 78/0. Conclusion: The factor structure of Dysmorphic Concern questionnaire demonstrated acceptable psychometric properties in university student populations. This scale has suitable psychometric properties for the use of research and clinical practice.
