Materials & Methods: Twenty six postmenopausal women without osteoporosis and 27 postmenopausal women with osteoporosis were enrolled in this cross sectional study. The standard questionnaire of xerostomia was filled for all patients. Unstimulated saliva samples were collected by spitting method in the same place and same time. Results: The mean volume of saliva in patients with osteoporosis was significantly lower than patients without the osteoporosis (P=0.01), while dry mouth feeling was higher in this group (P<0.01).
