The growing number of Internet users along with the emergence of a variety of digital media has created the potential to influence health behaviors. Women of childbearing age are increasingly using the Internet, social networks, and mobile apps, which provide a growing opportunity for mothers to improve their health during and after pregnancy. Moreover, digital technology has provided healthcare workers with a promising way to achieve their health prevention goals and promote healthy behaviors at the community level. Furthermore, its utilization in the health education system can enhance health services, create healthy living conditions, and help achieve the goals of improving public health and quality of life. Therefore, this review article aimed to explain the importance of using digital technology in maternal health education and elaborate the harms and obstacles in this process.
